A Wolcott man has been arrested following an investigation into a reported domestic disturbance in the village, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies took 35-year-old Cory L. Chase into custody after responding to the incident. Authorities allege that Chase threatened to kill another individual before leaving the premises. It is also alleged that he took a debit card belonging to the victim from within the residence.
During the course of the investigation, officials say Chase returned to the scene and was found in possession of the stolen debit card. He was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Chase was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being taken to the Wayne County Jail. He is scheduled for centralized arraignment on March 23 at 7 a.m. and will appear in Village of Wolcott Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
