WNY Teacher Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges, Awaiting Extradition to Virginia
Geoffrey J. Testa, 45, of Amherst was arrested following an investigation involving the New York State Police (NYSP) Clarence Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the NYSP Computer Crimes Unit.

Testa, 45, of Amherst, New York, was arrested on January 31, 2025, following an investigation involving the New York State Police (NYSP) Clarence Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the NYSP Computer Crimes Unit. Testa faces multiple felony charges related to child exploitation stemming from a warrant issued in Fairfax, Virginia.
Testa, currently employed as a teacher at Amherst Central School, was processed and transported to the Erie County Holding Center, where he is being held pending extradition to Virginia. The NYSP has confirmed ongoing collaboration with Amherst Central School administration regarding the situation.
