The National Weather Service (NWS) in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Wayne, Jefferson, and Ontario counties, in effect from 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, through 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 9.
According to the advisory, snowfall of 3 to 6 inches is expected, with some areas potentially receiving higher amounts.
Residents should prepare for slippery road conditions and reduced visibility, especially during periods of heavier snowfall. Travel may be difficult at times, and drivers are urged to slow down and exercise caution on the roads.
