Wayne County Woman Arrested for DWI Following Crash

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a 66-year-old woman from the Town of Ontario after a property damage crash and a subsequent traffic stop.

Malinda J. Fuhrmann, a resident of Ontario, was taken into custody on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) today. Deputies responded to a report of a property damage motor vehicle accident and discovered that Fuhrmann had been operating the involved vehicle.

Upon further investigation, authorities determined that she was allegedly under the influence of alcohol while driving. Following the crash, deputies transported Fuhrmann to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

She was later released and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Town Court on February 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM to face the DWI charge and other related traffic violations.
