Wayne County Seeks Program Supervisor for Mental Health Services
The Wayne County Mental Health Department is looking to fill a Program Supervisor position, offering a salary of $77,091 along with a range of benefits, including regular raises, paid time off, health insurance, and participation in the New York State Retirement Pension program.
The position is currently provisional, pending a civil service examination. Applications will be accepted until the role is filled.
Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Program Supervisor will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising mental health and addiction services within the Wayne Behavioral Health Network. Duties include overseeing clinical staff, coordinating program resources, and ensuring service availability. The supervisor will also participate in administrative functions such as budget planning, quality assurance, and staff training.
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, nursing, mental health counseling, or a related field. Additionally, applicants need at least three years of professional experience in community mental health. Required licensure includes a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) credential.
The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis intervention skills, as well as experience working with culturally diverse populations.
