Wayne County Nursing Home Seeks Resident Attendants for Full and Part-Time Positions
The Wayne County Nursing Home is currently accepting applications for full-time and part-time Resident Attendant positions. The role, which offers a starting salary of $18.01 per hour, includes benefits such as regular raises, participation in the New York State Retirement Pension system, and deferred compensation opportunities.
Applicants must be legal residents of Wayne, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, or Cayuga counties for at least one month prior to applying. While no formal qualifications are required, experience in a healthcare facility or working with the elderly in a home setting is preferred.
Resident Attendants provide support to nursing and activity staff, assisting with tasks that contribute to the daily care and well-being of residents. Duties include changing linens, transporting residents, assisting with meal services, delivering mail and newspapers, maintaining residents’ rooms, and participating in social activities. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to follow instructions, and respect for residents’ privacy and belongings.
