Wayne County Man, Juveniles Charged in Violent Robbery and Assault Case

An 18-year-old Wayne County man has been charged in connection with a physical altercation that occurred in Lyons, resulting in injuries to another individual, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities report that David G. Williams III, 18, was arrested and charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree following an incident on December 29, 2024. Investigators allege that Williams, along with several juveniles, were involved in a physical confrontation with another individual, who sustained injuries to the head and face.
During the altercation, two of the juveniles allegedly took the victim's backpack and shoes. Later that evening, the same juveniles reportedly threatened the victim with knives, leading to additional charges.
Williams was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date. The two juveniles involved in the incident have been charged with Robbery in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 3rd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree. Their cases are being handled through the juvenile justice system.
