The Wayne County 4-H program is inviting community members to take part in a series of free sewing workshops this winter and spring. Organized through Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Wayne, the workshops offer participants a chance to work on their own sewing projects with individualized assistance or start a new one from scratch.
Workshops are scheduled for December 14, February 21, and April 18 at the CCE Wayne location, 1581 Route 88 N, Newark, NY. Participants can choose from two available time slots: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is open to beginners and experienced sewers alike. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own materials and supplies, though a limited amount will be available for those in need.
With the February session falling during winter break, organizers hope the workshop will be an engaging opportunity for youth and families to explore the craft of sewing in a supportive environment.
Registration is required and can be completed online at CCE Wayne’s event page.
For more information, interested participants can contact the Wayne County 4-H office at Cornell Cooperative Extension.
