A Waterloo woman was arrested early Saturday morning following a traffic stop in the Town of Seneca Falls, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say 45-year-old BobbiJo H. Vanhouten, of Seneca Boulevard in Waterloo, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor, after a deputy conducted a traffic stop around 2:23 a.m. on March 22.
The stop was initiated for an alleged moving violation. During the roadside investigation, deputies reportedly found drug paraphernalia and a white crystalline substance packaged for use, which authorities say was later identified as crack cocaine.
Vanhouten was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing and was released with an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, Village of Waterloo Police Department, and New York State Police assisted at the scene.
