Waterloo Woman Arrested on Grand Larceny, Identity Theft Charges

A Waterloo woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged credit card theft and unauthorized purchases, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies took Katalina A. Mongelli, 31, into custody on January 26, 2025, following an arrest warrant for multiple charges, including grand larceny in the fourth degree, identity theft in the second degree, and identity theft in the third degree.

Authorities allege that Mongelli stole a credit card belonging to another individual and used both the card and the victim’s personal information to make purchases at multiple businesses in Ontario County.

Following her arraignment in Seneca County’s Centralized Arraignment Part Court, Mongelli was released. She is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
