Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that Benjamin Greenfield, 43, of East Elisha Street in Waterloo, was arrested on February 9, 2025, around 5:00 p.m. on multiple charges following an incident in the Village of Waterloo.
Greenfield faces charges of third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony, as well as fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest, both class A misdemeanors.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when deputies were issuing a citation for a violation of a village ordinance. During the interaction, Greenfield allegedly kicked a patrol vehicle, causing damage.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he was held pending arraignment at CAP Court.
The Waterloo Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office during the arrest.
