Update: Syracuse Man Arrested in Connection with Salina Robbery
A Syracuse man has been arrested in connection with a robbery investigation following a coordinated effort by the New York State Police, Syracuse Police Department, and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
Daniel J. Becker, 42, was initially taken into custody by Syracuse police on March 11 for an unrelated incident. Further investigation by law enforcement agencies linked him to a robbery that occurred on March 9, leading to additional charges.
Becker has been charged by the New York State Police with first-degree robbery, a class B felony, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony. He is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment.
Authorities have indicated that Becker is also facing additional charges from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and Syracuse Police Department in connection with similar incidents.
