Two men were arrested in the early hours of March 21 following a traffic stop on State Route 332 in Canandaigua, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities identified the individuals as Jared Strub, 35, of Clifton Springs, and James Baker, 36, of Canandaigua. During the stop, police reportedly discovered that Strub was in possession of cocaine, while Baker was found to have fentanyl. Both were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Additionally, police stated that Strub was operating a vehicle with 11 suspensions on his license, leading to an additional charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree.
Strub was taken to Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention, while Baker was released on an appearance ticket. Both are scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to address the charges.
