The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with the alleged theft of an extension ladder from a residence in the Town of Waterloo.
According to Sheriff Tim Thompson, deputies arrested Payton J. Gallup, 23, of Waterloo, and Lucaus R. Kirby, 37, of Harrisville, on March 9, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m.
Authorities say the two men allegedly took a 24-foot extension ladder from a local residence before returning to Gallup’s home to store the item.
Gallup has been charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, both class A misdemeanors, and conspiracy in the sixth degree, a class B misdemeanor. Kirby faces charges of petit larceny and conspiracy in the sixth degree.
Following their arrests, both individuals were transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for processing before being released with appearance tickets. They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
