Troopers Bust Upstate NY Drug House Near Rome
The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 12 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, an undisclosed quantity of cocaine, eight long guns, over $400,000 in U.S. currency.
A lengthy narcotics investigation led to the arrest of two individuals in Oneida County after authorities seized a significant quantity of drugs, firearms, and cash in a law enforcement operation.
On January 15, 2025, the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, in coordination with the Special Operations Response Team, Canine Unit, and uniformed officers, executed a search warrant at a residence on Meadows Road in Annsville. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 12 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, an undisclosed quantity of cocaine, eight long guns, over $400,000 in U.S. currency, as well as drug packaging materials and scales, according to police reports.
Following the investigation, authorities located and apprehended the primary suspect, Ted A. Croniser, 53, of Taberg, N.Y., on February 27, 2025. Croniser was taken into custody at a residence on Glenridge Drive in Annsville through a coordinated effort involving the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, U.S. Marshals, Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Utica Police Department, and Oneida County Probation.
During the arrest, Jessica L. Centro, 38, also of Taberg, N.Y., allegedly attempted to interfere by concealing Croniser, leading to her own arrest, police said.
Croniser has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A-II felony. Centro faces charges of hindering prosecution in the first degree (a class D felony) and obstruction of governmental administration (a class A misdemeanor).
Both individuals are being held at the Oneida County Jail pending centralized arraignment. Authorities indicated that additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues
