Three Buffalo Area Bartenders Charged in Underage Drinking Enforcement Sweep
New York State Police conducted an underage drinking enforcement detail on Sunday, March 16, in Niagara and Erie counties, resulting in the arrests of three bartenders accused of selling alcohol to minors.
According to state police, the compliance check led to charges against Georgia A. Thompson, 25, of Youngstown, Lauren N. Dangelo, 22, of Buffalo, and Kevin M. Ryan, 52, of Lockport.
Thompson, a bartender at Slick Willie’s in the Town of Tonawanda, was charged with unlawfully selling alcohol to a minor and issued an appearance ticket for Tonawanda Town Court on April 3.
Dangelo, who works at Tully’s in Amherst, was also charged with selling alcohol to a minor. She is scheduled to appear in Amherst Town Court on April 15.
Ryan, a bartender at Back Alley Bar and Grill in Pendleton, faces the same charge and is set to appear in Pendleton Town Court on April 16.
Underage drinking enforcement details are conducted periodically by state police to ensure compliance with alcohol laws and reduce access to alcohol among minors.
