A Syracuse man already in custody on unrelated charges is now facing additional allegations related to a 2022 incident involving a child in Onondaga County.
Jason A. Bissell, 38, was arrested on February 27, 2025, and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor. Authorities say the charges stem from an incident in June 2022 at a residence in the Town of Geddes, where the alleged victim was a 7-year-old child.
Bissell, who was already incarcerated at the Onondaga County Justice Center at the time of his arrest, was arraigned the same day in Onondaga County CAP Court.
State Police are asking anyone with information regarding this case or any other incidents involving Bissell to contact Investigator Peter Lazarek at SP Lafayette at (315) 677-5302.
