A Sterling man was arrested following a reported domestic incident on February 28, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to an address in the Town of Sterling around 6:18 p.m. after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. Following an investigation, authorities determined that Brett A. Dennison, 39, had allegedly threatened to cause physical harm to another individual.
Dennison was detained at the scene and transported to Auburn Community Hospital for evaluation. While in custody, he allegedly kicked and spit on deputies. After being treated and released from the hospital, Dennison was arrested on two warrants for harassment in the second degree (both violations) and an additional charge of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a misdemeanor.
