A Hornell man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison after being convicted of drug distribution charges, federal prosecutors announced.
Kenneth Turner, 36, was sentenced to 96 months behind bars for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of five grams or more of methamphetamine, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Joel Louis Violanti.
Turner was arrested in December 2021 after law enforcement intercepted a package sent from Nevada to his residence in Hornell. Authorities said the package contained approximately 111 grams of methamphetamine. A subsequent search of his home uncovered additional methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, prosecutors said.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
