Sodus Man Charged with Child Endangerment, Other Offenses Following Domestic Incident

A Village of Sodus man was arrested early Tuesday morning following an investigation into a domestic incident, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies took 19-year-old Jamar Ortiz, of Main Street in Sodus, into custody on multiple charges, including one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of obstruction of governmental administration, and one count of resisting arrest.
The arrest stemmed from a domestic incident reported in the village. Deputies responded to the scene and conducted an investigation, which led to Ortiz’s arrest.
Authorities say Ortiz was scheduled to appear for arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) on February 18, 2025, at 7:00 a.m.
