Sodus Man Arrested Following Investigation into Marion Vehicle Collision
A 65-year-old Sodus man has been arrested following an investigation into a motor vehicle collision that resulted in serious injury in the Town of Marion in November of last year.
A 65-year-old Sodus man has been arrested following an investigation into a motor vehicle collision that resulted in serious injury in the Town of Marion.
David Horning, of Snyder Road in Sodus, was taken into custody by Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies on February 9 in connection with the incident, which occurred on November 12, 2024, near the intersection of Skinner Road and White Road in Marion.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Horning faces several charges, including vehicular assault in the second degree, assault in the second degree, driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence of both drugs and alcohol, and moving from a lane unsafely.
An investigation revealed that Horning’s blood showed the presence of alcohol and cocaine at the time of the crash. Authorities say the collision caused serious physical injury to a passenger in Horning’s vehicle.
Following his arrest, Horning was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being taken to the Wayne County Jail. He was scheduled to appear in CAP court on February 9 at 7:00 p.m.
