Sodus Man Arrested Following Investigation into Missing Child
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 19-year-old Town of Sodus resident in connection with a missing child investigation.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 19-year-old Town of Sodus resident in connection with a missing child investigation.
According to law enforcement officials, deputies arrested Adrian M. Sovie of Sodus after receiving a report of a missing child under the age of 15. Initial inquiries led deputies to Sovie’s residence, where he allegedly denied knowing the child but later admitted to being familiar with both the child and their family.
When deputies inquired about the child’s whereabouts, Sovie reportedly claimed the child was at another location. However, after visiting the address provided, deputies were unable to locate the missing child. Upon returning to Sovie’s residence, the child was found outside the home.
Sovie has been charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Jail to await arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Town of Sodus Court for further legal proceedings.
