A six-vehicle crash on State Route 414 in the Town of Galen on Saturday afternoon resulted in one person being transported to the hospital, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that the accident began as a two-car collision during snowy conditions, ultimately leading to a chain reaction involving six vehicles. The crash, which occurred around 1 p.m. on February 17, temporarily shut down the roadway as emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
One of the drivers, identified as Todd A. Rudy, 61, of Clyde, was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Wayne County EMS, the Clyde Fire Department, the Rose Fire Department, and several local tow truck companies.
