Single-Vehicle Crash in Galen Sends Driver to Newark-Wayne Hospital

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle accident that resulted in injuries on State Route 31 near High Street in the Town of Galen.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle accident that resulted in injuries on State Route 31 near High Street in the Town of Galen.

Deputies responded to the scene after receiving a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and entered a field. According to officials, the driver, identified as 28-year-old Evan Morrin of Clyde, was traveling eastbound on State Route 31 when the incident occurred.

Emergency responders from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County EMS, and the Clyde Fire Department assisted at the scene. Morrin was transported by ambulance to Newark-Wayne Hospital for evaluation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
