Shaggy to Headline Suburban Park Stage at 2025 Great New York State Fair
Two-time Grammy Award-winning artist Shaggy is set to perform at the Great New York State Fair this summer, bringing his internationally recognized dancehall hits to the Suburban Park stage on Sunday, August 31 at 8 p.m.
Known for chart-topping singles like Boombastic, It Wasn’t Me, and Angel, the Jamaican-American musician remains one of the most successful reggae artists in history. Shaggy has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, landed eight singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and released multiple platinum records, including his breakout 1995 album Boombastic and the 2000 follow-up Hot Shot.
His influence spans decades, with recent work including a collaborative Grammy-winning album with Sting (44/876) and the 2023 release Til A Mawnin’, which topped the US iTunes Reggae Songs chart. Shaggy ranks among the top three most-streamed reggae artists on Spotify, alongside Bob Marley and Sean Paul.
“We’re excited to have another Grammy-winning artist as part of our musical lineup this year,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “Shaggy has been bringing joy to listeners for decades and has produced some of the biggest hits in music history.”
