Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Recruiting for Deputy and Correction Officer Positions

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking candidates for deputy sheriff and correction officer positions, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities.

For those already working in law enforcement, the office is accepting lateral transfers for both roles, provided applicants have been competitively hired and are not on probation. Letters of intent for lateral transfer candidates should be sent to Seneca County Personnel Director Lana Granger at the Department of Personnel in Waterloo, or via email at lgranger@co.seneca.ny.us.

Additionally, individuals without prior law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply. Those interested in becoming a deputy sheriff must take the required exam, with the application deadline set for March 27, 2025.
