A school bus carrying students and staff from the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District was involved in a minor collision Tuesday morning in the Village of Wolcott.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at approximately 7:23 a.m. at the intersection of Draper Street and Butler Street. Deputies responding to the scene determined that a passenger vehicle had backed out of a driveway and failed to yield to the oncoming school bus, resulting in a collision.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage, but no injuries were reported among the drivers, passengers, or those on the bus. Authorities confirmed that all students and staff arrived at their destination without further issues.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
