Schenectady Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Possession with Intent to Distribute
A Schenectady man has pleaded guilty to possessing fentanyl with the intent to distribute, federal prosecutors announced.
Terrell Bell, 27, entered the plea on Wednesday in connection to a January 2024 search of his home, where law enforcement officers found nearly 1,800 fentanyl pills in his bedroom and more than $90,000 in cash. At the time, Bell was on parole.
His sentencing is scheduled for July 9, 2025. Under federal law, he faces a minimum of five years and up to 40 years in prison, a potential fine of up to $5 million, and a supervised release period ranging from four years to life. Bell has also agreed to forfeit the seized cash.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Albany Field Office, with assistance from the Schenectady Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mikayla Espinosa.
