A woman from the Town of Savannah has been arrested following an investigation into a domestic incident that led to the hospitalization of a juvenile, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
On January 29, 2025, deputies responded to a residence on Wilsey Road after receiving reports that a minor had been exposed to a controlled substance. The child was hospitalized as a result of the exposure.
After conducting an investigation, deputies arrested 40-year-old Emily A. Taylor of Wilsey Road. A search of the residence uncovered controlled substances, leading to multiple charges against Taylor, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Taylor was taken to the Wayne County Jail, where she is awaiting arraignment in CAP Court.
