The driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run property damage incident on Route 104 has voluntarily turned himself in, according to New York State Police.
Sebastian Domenico Jr., 62, of Rome, N.Y., was identified as the operator of a 2008 Toyota Tundra that authorities had been seeking in connection with the February 27 incident.
Domenico voluntarily reported to State Police and was issued multiple traffic tickets, including operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from a lane unsafely, and driving on the shoulder of a controlled-access highway.
Authorities initially requested the public’s assistance in identifying the driver after the crash, which occurred along Route 104 in Wayne County. Details regarding what led to the accident or whether further charges may be filed have not been released.
Domenico is scheduled to appear in local court at a later date.
