Rochester Woman Arrested on Bench Warrant for DWI Charge in Ontario County

A Rochester woman was taken into custody early Thursday morning after Ontario County deputies executed an active bench warrant for her arrest.

Katia Velez-Roman, 36, was arrested at approximately 12:37 a.m. on March 21 at the St. John Fisher Park n Ride. Authorities confirmed that the warrant had been issued by the East Bloomfield Town Court after Velez-Roman failed to appear in court for a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Following her arrest, Velez-Roman was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment.
