Rochester Man Charged with DWI in Tyre Traffic Stop

A Rochester man was arrested early Monday morning in the Town of Tyre on charges of driving while intoxicated, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that deputies stopped 47-year-old Vath C. Thoeun around 3:00 a.m. on March 3 after his vehicle allegedly failed to stop at a traffic light. Following an investigation and field sobriety tests, Thoeun was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, along with other traffic violations.

Thoeun was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Tyre Town Court on April 9 to respond to the charges.
