Racalto’s Restaurant Hosts Fundraiser for NYS Sheriff’s Institute Summer Camp, Honoring Sheriff Jim Allard
On Monday, March 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., guests can enjoy a meal with Sheriff Allard and his wife, Wendy.
A local restaurant is hosting a charity event to support the New York State Sheriff’s Institute Summer Camp and Wellness Center while also recognizing Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard for his service to the community.
Racalto’s Restaurant announced it will hold an appreciation dinner on Monday, March 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., where guests can enjoy a meal with Sheriff Allard and his wife, Wendy. The event aims to raise funds for the summer camp and wellness center, a program designed to create a healing space for first responders across New York State on Keuka Lake.
The restaurant’s owners, Jay and Joe Huang-Racalto, say the event is an opportunity for the community to come together in support of law enforcement and first responders. Diners will receive 15% off their meal, and 100% of the event’s proceeds will be donated to a charity chosen by Sheriff Allard.
Sheriff Allard has served as Steuben County’s sheriff since 2016, overseeing modernization efforts within the department. The event also follows a recent legal battle in which he was required to defend himself personally against a lawsuit related to his official duties. A court ultimately ruled in his favor.
The public is invited to attend the dinner and personally thank Sheriff Allard for his service.
