Previously Deported Guatemalan Man Sentenced in WNY for Illegal Reentry into the U.S.
A Guatemalan man who had previously been deported from the United States pleaded guilty to illegal reentry and was sentenced to time served, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.
Andiyer Eduardo Con Yucutie, 25, was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) after his sentencing. U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara presided over the case.
Prosecutors stated that Yucutie, a Guatemalan citizen without legal status in the U.S., was initially deported in July 2024. On January 25, 2025, he was found at the Lewiston Bridge Port of Entry, where a records check confirmed his previous removal.
The case was investigated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, led by Director of Field Operations Rose Brophy.
Yucutie’s plea and sentencing mark the latest in ongoing efforts to enforce immigration laws at U.S. border crossings.
