Utica police are searching for Benito Silva, a 79-year-old man reported missing on Tuesday, February 11. Authorities are concerned for Silva’s safety as he has dementia and may be in need of medical attention.
Silva was last seen around 12:00 p.m. on Genesee Street in Utica, Oneida County. He is believed to be on foot. Silva is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.
At the time of his disappearance, Silva was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers. He uses a walker with pink tennis balls on the bottom for mobility.
