Palmyra-Macedon Board of Education Honors Varsity Football Coach Brian Quick
Since resuming his role as head coach in 2023, Quick has led the Red Raiders to an impressive 17-2 record.
The Palmyra-Macedon Board of Education recognized Varsity Football Coach Brian Quick during its meeting on Tuesday night, following his recent selection as Coach of the Year by the Wayne-Finger Lakes Independent League.
Board Vice President Dave Landon presented Quick with a certificate in acknowledgment of the achievement, which highlights both his leadership and the football program’s recent success.
Since resuming his role as head coach in 2023, Quick has led the Red Raiders to an impressive 17-2 record. His first season back saw the team go undefeated, securing a championship title. This past season, the Red Raiders finished as finalists in the championship game while clinching their division title for the second consecutive year.
Reflecting on the recognition, Quick emphasized the collective effort behind the program’s success. "I'm the one who is getting the award, but the whole program should be getting the award," he said.
Beyond their accomplishments on the field, Quick’s teams have also excelled academically, earning the designation of New York State Scholar-Athlete Team for two consecutive years.
