Pal-Mac Junior Ryan Allen Selected for 2025 Scotty Bowman Showcase
Palmyra-Macedon High School junior Ryan Allen has been selected to compete in the 2025 Scotty Bowman Showcase, an annual event featuring top high school hockey players from Buffalo and Rochester.
The showcase will take place on Wednesday, April 9, at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, home of the Buffalo Sabres. Allen, who plays for the WFL Panthers—a combined team consisting of players from multiple local school districts—will represent the Rochester area alongside other standout athletes. He and his brother, Sean, are the only two Pal-Mac players on the team.
Players were chosen by a selection panel that included high school, prep, and junior hockey coaches from Buffalo and Rochester, as well as members of the Buffalo Sabres organization.
Allen’s strong performance this season helped earn him a spot in the event. He finished in the top 10 for points across Section V, recording 15 goals and 23 assists. His contributions also earned him a place on Section V’s First Team All-Star list.
At the showcase, Allen and his teammates will compete for the Tim Horton Memorial Cup, facing off against top players from the Buffalo region. The game will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature two 22-minute halves.
The Scotty Bowman Showcase provides a platform for high school athletes to display their skills in front of coaches and scouts, making it a significant opportunity for players aspiring to compete at higher levels.
