Pal-Mac Junior Recognized for Leadership, Community Service
A Palmyra-Macedon High School junior has been recognized for her leadership and achievements, earning a prestigious regional honor.
Jenna Lindstrom received the 2025 Youth Leadership Recognition Award during a ceremony in Victor last Friday. The award, coordinated by New York State Senator Pamela Helming, highlights students who excel in academics, athletics, music, arts, and community service. Jenna was one of more than 20 students from across the region selected for the recognition.
Jenna was nominated by her school counselor, Maureen Harris, who praised her commitment to academics, extracurricular activities, and public service.
"Jenna has taken on challenging courses throughout high school to explore different subjects as she shapes her future plans," Harris said. "She hopes to follow in her family's footsteps by joining the United States Air Force after graduation and later pursuing a career as a physician assistant."
In addition to her academic achievements, Jenna is active in Peer-to-Peer Mentoring, serves as class secretary, and is a three-sport athlete. She has also completed over 500 hours of community service, volunteering at a summer camp for children, coaching youth lacrosse, and assisting at the Palmyra Community Center. She also participates in various athletic community service events and plans to join her family in volunteering with the American Legion.
"Jenna is inquisitive, respectful, and always motivated to do her best," Harris added. "She is truly a leader in our school community."
Jenna was joined at the ceremony by Pal-Mac Superintendent Dr. Bob Ike and her parents.
