Overnight Fire Destroys Home Under Construction in Seneca Falls
The Seneca County Fire Investigation Team is working to determine the cause of the blaze.
Firefighters were called to battle a massive blaze at 4 Mechanic Street in Seneca Falls early Sunday morning. Crews arrived at the scene around 3 a.m. to find the residence fully engulfed in flames, with portions of the roof already collapsed.
It took firefighters approximately two and a half hours to bring the fire under control. Even after the main fire was extinguished, crews remained on-site for overhaul operations to ensure there were no flareups.
According to officials, the home was under construction at the time of the fire, and no one was inside the building. The structure was deemed a total loss.

Multiple departments responded to assist, including the Seneca Falls Fire Department, Waterloo Fire Department, Clyde, Canoga, Geneva and Fayette Fire Departments. North Seneca Ambulance was also on scene to provide support.
