Oswego County Man Charged with Attempted Murder Following Domestic Dispute
A man is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, following an alleged domestic dispute in the Town of Mexico on Tuesday morning.
According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Cole Road at approximately 11:11 a.m. on Feb. 25 in response to a report of a domestic incident involving gunfire. Authorities say the female victim called 911 while fleeing her residence and hid in a wooded area near Cole Road, where she reported seeing the suspect’s vehicle driving back and forth.
Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect, identified as 52-year-old Donald Bradley, inside his vehicle. After initially refusing to surrender, Bradley was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
An investigation determined that Bradley had been involved in a verbal dispute at his residence on Cole Road. During the argument, he allegedly threatened to kill the victim while loading a shotgun. Authorities say the victim ran from the residence, at which point Bradley followed and fired a shotgun in her direction as she neared the driveway and the roadway. She continued running down Cole Road and took shelter in a wooded area while remaining on the phone with 911 until law enforcement arrived.
Bradley has been charged with the following offenses:
Attempted Murder in the Second Degree
Attempted Assault in the First Degree
Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree
Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree
Menacing in the Second Degree
Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree
He was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or a $200,000 bond.
