Ontario Man Found Sleeping at Walworth Bottle Return Arrested for Larceny

A Wayne County man was arrested early Thursday morning following an investigation into an alleged theft at a local store, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a report of a man found sleeping in the bottle return area of a store. Upon arrival, they identified the individual as 39-year-old Ryan J. Lawliss of Ontario, New York. Store employees informed authorities that Lawliss was discovered with multiple concealed consumable items inside his jacket.

Following an investigation, deputies arrested Lawliss on a charge of petit larceny. He was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, processed, and later released on an appearance ticket.

Lawliss is scheduled to appear in Walworth Town Court at a later date to address the charge.
