Ontario Man Arrested After Allegedly Striking Sheriff's Office Patrol Car With Cane

A Town of Ontario man was taken into custody following an investigation into a reported disturbance, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested Jason Crestuk, 49, of Fisher Road in Ontario, on February 24, 2025, charging him with attempted criminal mischief in the fourth degree and resisting arrest.

Authorities allege that during the incident, which occurred on February 20, 2025, Crestuk struck a deputy’s patrol vehicle with a cane. When deputies attempted to arrest him, he allegedly resisted.

Crestuk was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he awaited central arraignment scheduled for February 24 at 7 a.m. and was released.
