Ontario County’s Office for the Aging and SALT (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) will be hosting a four-part panel series focused on aging and caregiving. The sessions will take place at the Bristol Town Library, 6750 County Road 32 in Canandaigua, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on select evenings in April and May.
The series aims to provide information and resources for seniors and caregivers on a variety of topics related to aging, wellness, and long-term care. Each session will feature experts and discussions tailored to different aspects of aging.
The schedule is as follows:
April 9: Aging: What is Normal? – A discussion on brain health, wellness, and community resources to support healthy aging.
April 23: Aging in Your Own Home – Guidance on finding support services, downsizing, and determining when it may be time to stop driving.
May 7: Next Steps After Home – Experts, including an elder care attorney and a memory care admissions representative, will provide insights on preparing for and selecting senior living communities.
May 21: Celebrating Life – A conversation about hospice care, community resources, and honoring the later stages of life.
