The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of Stacy Lambert to the position of Chief Deputy Sheriff, making her the third highest-ranking officer in the department. In this role, Lambert will oversee all bureaus and is authorized to act in the absence of both the Sheriff and Undersheriff.
Lambert brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience to her new position. She began her career in 2004 as a Correction Officer before transitioning to the Road Patrol Division in 2012, where she completed academy and field training before returning to the Corrections Bureau. Over the years, she advanced through the ranks, earning promotions to Correction Sergeant in 2018 and Chief Correction Officer in 2022.
As Chief Deputy Sheriff, Lambert's responsibilities will include policy development and implementation, overseeing vendor contracts, and assisting the Undersheriff with the Professional Conduct Unit.
Sheriff David J. Cirencione announced the promotion, recognizing Lambert's leadership and experience within the department.
