Deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office took a 25-year-old man into custody on a felony bench warrant Thursday afternoon at the Oneida County Jail.
According to authorities, Jeremiah James Canery was arrested without incident at approximately 4:35 p.m. Canery was in the process of being released from Oneida County Jail when Ontario County deputies assumed custody. The warrant, issued by Phelps Town Court, was for failure to appear in court on a fourth-degree grand larceny charge.
Following his arrest, Canery was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
