The rock band O.A.R. has been added to the lineup for this year’s Great New York State Fair, set to perform at Suburban Park on Saturday, August 23, at 8 p.m.
O.A.R., short for Of a Revolution, first gained national attention in the late 1990s and has built a reputation for its live performances, selling out venues such as Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks Amphitheater. The band has released ten studio albums, with hits including "Love and Memories" and "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)," the latter of which was certified platinum and reached No. 2 on the Adult Top 40 chart.
Fair Director Julie LaFave highlighted the group’s appeal, stating that O.A.R. has played a significant role in shaping the musical landscape for many fans.
The performance is part of the 2025 Chevrolet Music Series, which will feature 41 national recording acts across multiple stages. Other artists announced for the fair so far include Cheap Trick, Busta Rhymes, Kidz Bop, and Maddie & Tae. Concerts at the fair are included in the price of admission, which is set at $8 for adults, with free entry for children under 12 and seniors 65 and older.
The Great New York State Fair runs from August 20 through September 1 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Known as the oldest state fair in the U.S., it serves as a showcase for agriculture, entertainment, and tourism in Central New York.
