NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory for Wayne County and Surrounding Areas

Wayne County residents should prepare for mixed winter weather as the National Weather Service (NWS) in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, until 4 a.m. Thursday, February 13. The advisory covers Wayne, Monroe, Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Livingston, and Ontario counties.
According to the NWS, the region can expect a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are forecasted, along with ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch.
Road conditions may become slippery due to the wintry mix, particularly during the Wednesday evening commute. Drivers are urged to reduce their speed, remain cautious, and be prepared for limited visibility.
