North Carolina Man Arrested at Eastview Mall

DeKerion I. Wallace, 19, was arrested after a complaint was made regarding the use of counterfeit $100 bills in the store.

A Charlotte, North Carolina man was taken into custody on February 3, 2025, following an incident at JC Penney located at 600 Eastview Mall Drive in the Town of Victor.

DeKerion I. Wallace, 19, was arrested after a complaint was made regarding the use of counterfeit $100 bills in the store. According to law enforcement, Wallace is alleged to have attempted a purchase using one of the counterfeit bills.

Wallace was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a felony under New York State law. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was arraigned and later released on his own recognizance.

Wallace is scheduled to appear in the Town of Victor Court at a later date to address the charge.
