The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a Newark woman following an investigation into a traffic stop in the Town of Lyons.
According to deputies, Angelica Alicea, 32, of Stansell Street in Lyons, was taken into custody after an incident during which she allegedly provided a false name when asked for identification. Authorities say Alicea was advised that providing false identification constitutes a crime, but she continued to mislead deputies.
Subsequent investigation revealed Alicea’s true identity, confirming she had an active warrant for Family Court.
Alicea was charged with second-degree Criminal Impersonation and Obstructing Governmental Administration. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court for arraignment on March 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.
