A Newark woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal overdose that occurred in Manchester last month, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Keiana J. Borum, 28, of Newark, was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree following an investigation into the December 17, 2024 death of a 27-year-old woman. Officials allege the victim had purchased fentanyl from Borum shortly before overdosing.
Borum was taken into custody at her Newark home on January 15 and transported to the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention. However, under New York State bail reform laws, she was released on her own recognizance. She is expected to appear in court at a later date to face the charges.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted Ontario County authorities in the investigation and arrest.
